Adamu Orisa Play 2025 Holds at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos
The Adamu Orisa Play 2025 holds today, December 27, 2025, at Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos Island.
It’s a cultural festival honoring notable individuals, including the late Iyaloja-General, Chief Abibat Mogaji, mother of President Bola Tinubu; Lagos’ first military governor, General Mobolaji Johnson; and former governors Alhaja Lateef Jakande and Sir Michael Otedola.
The event features traditional Eyo masquerades, chants, and dances, showcasing Yoruba cultural symbols.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, received the Opambata – a ceremonial staff, marking the beginning of the Eyo Festival
The event promotes Lagos’ rich cultural heritage and unity.
President Bola Tinubu and other notable personalities are present at the event.
The Adamu Orisa Play 2025 features other side attractions including performances by popular music artistes, including Abolore Akanda, popularly known as ‘9ice’
