ADAMAWA STATE CANCELS 2025 CROSSOVER NIGHT ACTIVITIES OVER SECURITY CONCERNS

The Adamawa State Government has cancelled all planned “Cross Over Night” activities scheduled for December 31, 2025, into January 1, 2026, at the Unity Flyover in Jimeta, Yola, the state capital.

The announcement was made in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, Humwashi Wonosikou.

The cancellation is based on credible intelligence reports highlighting potential security threats, with the government prioritising the safety and security of residents.

Authorities have urged citizens, especially those in Yola North and Yola South Local Government Areas, to remain vigilant, avoid crowded areas, and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

The government assured that it will continue collaborating with security forces to maintain peace and stability across the state, with further updates to be provided as necessary.
This decision comes amid heightened security measures in parts of the country during the festive period.
