The political impasse in Abia State continues to attract legal interpretations from both sides of the divide.
Many have faulted the issuance of a certificate of return to sampson Ogah, by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC. His legal team however argues that the electoral body did not err as it only obeyed the order of the court.
Meanwhile security has been beefed up at the Abia State Government house in Umuahia. Following the issuance of a certificate of return to Uche Ogah by the INEC and his anticipated swearing-in ceremony,
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu is reported to have been holding meetings with his advisers.
Last Monday, the Federal high court in Abuja sacked Ikpeazu and ordered Ogah to take over.
The court has also fixed Monday for hearing of a motion asking for a stay of execution of the judgment.
