Building Collapses In Lagos

A seven-storey building under construction has collapsed in Banana Island, Ikoyi area of Lagos State on Wednesday around past 3 pm.

That building caved in when some of the construction workers on site had closed for the day, The PUNCH reports.

The collapse has made caused some injuries on workers who were on the site.

According to spokesperson for the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service, Amodu Shakiri, who confirmed the incident, no one was under the rubble.

He said, “We got a call around 3:58 pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble.”
