Court Sits Over Amaewhule’s Legitimacy As Speaker In Rivers

A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is about now hearing a suit challenging the legitimacy of Martin Amaewhule as the Speaker and twenty six others as members of the Rivers State House of Assembly.

The twenty seven lawmakers are loyal to the FCT minister, NYESOM WIKE in the political crisis.

The suit was filed by pro-fubara lawmakers VICTOR OKO-JUMBO,SOKARI GOODBOY and ADOLPHUS ORUBIENIMIGHA.

They want the court to clear the air on the status of Martin Amaewhule and twenty six others following their defection from the People’s Democratic Party PDP to the All Progressive Congress.

Some of those in court are the Attorney General and commissioner for Justice in Rivers state,DAGOGO IBOROMA, SAN and the Chief of Staff, Government House,Port Harcourt,EDISON EHIE.
