President Bola Tinubu assured Ogoni leaders on Tuesday in Abuja that his administration would prioritize peace, justice, and sustainable development in the region.
During a meeting at the State House, he urged the Ogoni people to unite, reconcile, and move past historical grievances to foster peace, development, and a clean environment.
President Tinubu tasked National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu with coordinating negotiations, emphasizing the need for inclusive consultation and mutual understanding.
Governor Fubara expressed gratitude to the President for supporting the Ogoni people and for welcoming their inclusive representation at the Presidential Villa. He noted that the meeting was a follow-up to an assignment from the President via the National Security Adviser.
