President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau and Chairman of National Sports Commission, Shehu Dikko hves rallied support for newly-appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Sekou Chelle.
Chelle appointment has generated a lot of outcry among football stakeholders in the country.
They have therefore solicited for support for Chelle so that Nigeria will feature at next year’s World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico.
While Chelle has promised to deliver the 2026 World Cup ticket to Nigerians.
After signing a two-year contract as Head Coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Sekou Chelle is expected to travel for meetings with some senior members of the Super Eagles.
The Franco-Malian coach, whose mandate is to qualify the Super Eagles for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, is spending a few days with the Eagles B team at their camp in Ikenne before flying to Paris to watch Moses Simon’s Nantes play in a French league match.
Chelle is also scheduled to visit England, Turkey, and Germany to meet players such as Victor Osimhen, Victor Boniface, Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Calvin Bassey, Nathan Tella, and a few others to discuss his plans for the team.
