ONDO CULT CLASH: POLICE ARREST 19 SUSPECTS, VOW TO TACKLE PROLIFERATION OF ARMS
The newly deployed commissioner of police in Ondo state, Wilfred Afolabi has vowed to take steps to address the issue of proliferation of arms which is contributing to the rising cases of cult clashes and other crimes in the state.
Recall that FOUR PERSONS were reportedly killed IN A CLASH INVOLVING SOME SUSPECTED CULT GROUPS IN OWO TOWN.
The CP said nineteen suspects have been arrested in connection to the clashes adding that the command is intensifying effort to arrest others still at large.
The Commissioner thereafter met with journalists at the command’s headquarters where he assured that persons with unauthorized fire arms will be dispossessed of them to make the state safer and more conducive to live.
