Popular Nollywood actor, Ibrahim Chatta, has won the prestigious Legend of the Year award at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production (OAFP) Awards 2024.
The actor was recognised for his outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry at the event, which took place in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday.
Chatta, a well-respected figure in Nollywood, expressed his surprise and gratitude upon receiving the award, which was presented to him by fellow actor Odunlade Adekola.
Accepting the award, he said, “To the organisers of the OAFP Awards, everyone here, and all of my colleagues, thank you. God bless you.”
To further express his appreciation, Chatta prostrated on stage to thank the audience and his fans for their support of his craft.
In addition, Nollywood actress Mide Funmi-Martins Abiodun was awarded Best Actress of the Year, while actor Rotimi Salami won the Best Male Actor of the Year category.
The event was a star-studded affair, featuring many prominent personalities from the Yoruba film industry, such as Prince Jide Kosoko, Femi Adebayo, Toyin Abraham, and Iyabo Ojo, among others.
