2023 Poll: Police Warn Election Observers To Avoid Sensitive Areas

Election observers have been advised to avoid sensitive areas during the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly elections on Saturday.

This advice was made public by Lagos State Police Command to the election observers through Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of operations, Oludotun Odubona.

Mr. Odubona gave the security alert when the Economic Community of West African States Election Observation Mission assigned to the South-west zone paid a courtesy and working visit to the command.

Most importantly, the purpose of the visit was to introduce the observers to the command and to receive some security tips.

Mr. Odubona also revealed that security agencies are on ground to ensure violence free elections even though the March 18 elections would be keenly contested.
