Mr. World Nigeria: Faces and Profiles of Contestants

The much-anticipated Mr. World Nigeria pageantry is set to hold at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island Lagos, this weekend.

This is according to a press statement by the organisers, a copy of which was made available to our correspondent on Tuesday.

Signed by the Head Media and Communications, Silverbird Group, Mr. Olorunfemi Joshua, the statement revealed that the 10 contestants for the coveted crown are ready to it their all.

The contestants who cut across social and professional strata, the statement said would be exhibiting their various talents with winner representing Nigeria in the forthcoming Mr. World,

Contestant Profile

 

Contestant No. 0ne-Imri Adefoku

He is a surgeon-in-training, passionate about improving the access to and outcome of trauma road traffic injuries, burns, falls etcetera — in Nigeria and Africa at large. He enjoys running, weightlifting, boxing. He is also a recording artiste.

Contestant No. Two-Victor Undie

He was born and raised in the northern part of Cross River State, Nigeria, the last child in a family of five. Growing up under the care of disciplined parents, he learned early on the value of integrity, perseverance, and self-discipline, values that have shaped every aspect of his life.

After earning a BSc in Anatomical Sciences from the University of Calabar, he became fascinated by how the human body could be trained to its peak performance. This passion led him into the world of fitness, where he combined academic knowledge with real-world experience. Alongside his studies,he pursued certifications in Web Design and Development, building his own platform to connect with fitness clients globally.

As a professional fitness model and certified fitness and wellness coach, he had the privilege of working with international brands and coaching high-profile clients, including athletes from around the world. In 2022, he proudly earned the title of Mr. Macho Abuja, a defining moment in his career. This victory was not just about showcasing his physique but also a testament to the resilience and discipline that he had built over the years. It allowed him to elevate his personal brand and expand his reach in the fitness community, leading to opportunities such as partnering with Renegade Fitness in Moscow and becoming an ambassador for Fits You Fashion in Nigeria and Ethiopia.

However, his most fulfilling achievement has been helping others. Through his online coaching platform, he has worked with over 200 clients, including individuals struggling with health conditions, helping them transform not just physically but mentally. One of his proudest moments was coaching a former athlete back to full health after a debilitating injury, enabling them to return to competitive sports with success story that reinforced his belief in the power of fitness to transform lives.

In addition to winning Bodygod at Mr. Ideal Nigeria in 2021 and Strongest Man in a fitness event in Abuja, these experiences have strengthened his resolve to inspire the next generation of leaders, not just in fitness but in entrepreneurship.

One of the most pressing challenges in Nigeria today is youth unemployment. I firmly believe that fitness can be more than just a personal passion can be a viable career path. That’s why I am working on launching a nationwide initiative called “”Fit Nigeria, Prosper Nigeria””, which will teach young people how to build careers in the fitness industry. I’m collaborating with local fitness brands and entrepreneurs to provide training, mentorship, and resources that will enable participants to become certified fitness coaches and entrepreneurs. This program will not only empower young people to take control of their health but also equip them with valuable skills to build businesses, ultimately creating job opportunities and reducing unemployment.

He said, “Through this initiative, I aim to create regional hubs across the country where young people can access free fitness training and workshops on entrepreneurship, health education, and digital marketing all essential skills for the modern fitness professional. My goal is to impact at least 1,000 lives in the first year, with plans to expand the program to underserved regions, offering more young people the chance to transform their lives through fitness and entrepreneurship.””

Becoming Mr. World Nigeria would provide the perfect platform to amplify this initiative. With this title, I will not only represent Nigeria but also champion a movement that empowers our youth, cultivates entrepreneurship, and builds a healthier, stronger nation. This is my vision and ripple effect where fitness leads to personal empowerment, economic growth, and a brighter future for generations to come.”

Contestant No. Five-Winor Ogbemi

Winor is a young fashion designer[model] and poet with passion for crafting words. He has a background in engineering where he blends technical expertise with creative expression.

 Contestant No Six-David Eyo

David Eyo dares to dream. He is from Cross River state and he is 26 years old. He is an actor and lifestyle influencer. He believes in the possibility of dreams and turning them to reality ; if you work hard , have faith in God , it is possible .  He said “I want to use my voice and life as a beacon of hope to inspire those around me that no matter what you look like , where you come from , you can be more successful . I call myself a superstar because I believe that I will be great in my purpose and I want to most importantly remind young men that man can be more successful If your dream doesn’t scare you ; it is not Big Enough , I am David Eyo and I have what it takes to be the the Next Mr World . ”

Contestant No. Seven- Symon Oko

Oko is a vibrant and enthusiastic radio host, sharing Inspiration and motivation to help others overcome obstacles and achieve their goals, He is also an actor who has featured in the longest Africa magic Series Tinsel. He is a passionate Individual dedicated to inspiring others through motivational conversation.”

Contestants No. Eight -Ugochukwu Nwokolo

Nwokolo an actor, model and entrepreneur with a BSc dgree in Computer Science (Nigeria) and Masters (In view) in international business (London, UK). He is a lover of arts, traveling with a passion for gym. “As a lover of arts, I love bringing creativity into everything I do. I am also passionate about giving back to the community through my foundation,”” he said.

Contestant No.Nine – Iroegbulam Christopher

Christopher is a talented Actor, Model and brand strategist and OAP. He is a passionate boy and environmental health advocate who has worked with his state government ministry of environment to raise awareness on environmental issues, especially among young boys with his Reduce, reuse and recycle project. He speaks English, Igbo and German language and he is a certified social media and event manager as well as having a BA in communication and linguistics arts and is currently pursuing a certification in swimming. He has consecutively hosted the Village arts and Film Festival Texas; an international film festival here in Nigeria. He is happiest when he is traveling or cooking and believes there is no limit to what one can achieve as a person.

Contestant No.Ten-Michael Mazi Michael

Michael is a fitness enthusiast that is passionate about self-improvement. A registered Nurse committed to promoting of good health and wellbeing. Loves music, sports, reading, travelling and meeting people.

Contestant Eleven-Chibuzor Alinonu

Alinonu’s executive role as the Founder of an Organization, He likes to introduce himself as one who wears multiple hats, excelling as a Branding and Communications Expert, Model, Model Manager, Show Producer, Director, and a versatile Media Personality for both Radio and TV. Career wise, a Biologist who seamlessly blends scientific acumen with creative finesse. He is passionate about the VOICES OF MEN in our society, hence why he thinks it is important for men to learn how to Speak up when dealing with any mental breakdown or pressure and Speak out confident wherever they find themselves.”

Contestant no. Twelve- Shedrack Ashu

He is a passionate and driven individual from Bekwarra LGA, Cross River State. A Human Anatomy graduate from the University of Calabar, with diverse pursuits which reflect his commitment to living a purposeful life. He is also a Fashion Designer (Creative Director at Shaydee Fashion House), a Pageant Model & Titleholder (Mr. Unical 2018, King of Northern Cross River 2019. He is also a Humanitarian & Life Coach. “”For me, life is about leaving an indelible mark. ‘The only thing you take with you when you die is what you leave behind’ drives my every endeavor. I always strive to inspire others, fostering a culture of empathy, selflessness, and positive impact, “ he said.
