The minister of works Dave Umahi has admitted that his responsibilities to ensure good and motorable roads in the country has been challenging but surmountable.
Worthy of note are the poor design of these roads, poor supervision and its eventual construction.
He says contractors who have over the years paid lip service to the job given to them to carry out their tasks will no longer be acceptable.
He said this at an inter-ministerial world press conference where he spoke on his challenges as well as rendered stewardship on his role as minister of works.
Amidst the several bottle necks facing the ministry of works, Umahi has suggested policies and road maps that will ensure his ministry succeed in the Tinubu led administration.
