Ahead of the Saturday, September 21, 2024 Edo State Governorship election, the National Working Committee (NWC), of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has demanded for the immediate redeployment of the State Commissioner of Police and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state.
PDP Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum who made the demand after an emergency meeting of the NWC in Abuja expressed worry over an alleged plot to rig the election in favour of the All Progressives Congress APC.
The party also justified its stand not to sign a peace accord ahead of the election.
