NEPZA Licenses $150M Free Zone Investment in FCT

The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) has further strengthened the country’s manufacturing and export sectors by licensing the Abuja Industrial Park (ZEBERCED) Free Zone with an initial investment of $150 million.

During the handover of the operating license to the Turkish owners, NEPZA’s Managing Director, Olufemi Ogunyemi, highlighted that the 250-hectare free zone would house over 170 factories and create 40,000 jobs.

He emphasized the zone’s potential to boost Nigeria’s economy through increased export of manufactured goods.

A press statement on Wednesday by NEPZA’s Head of Corporate Communications, Martins Odeh, noted that the free zone will be located in Idu Industrial Layout Phase IV.

The Managing Director of the Abuja Industrial Park (ZEBERCED) Free Zone, Adil Kurt, praised the government’s one-stop-shop policy for facilitating a smooth registration process, adding that the zone will be a prime hub for manufacturing and exports.
