Controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky has made comments after he was released from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos State on Monday.
Bobrisky, whose release has triggered a lot of reactions from his fans, served six months imprisonment after Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos jailed him for abusing the Naira.
Before the highly anticipated release of the social media personality, a video was posted on X, where Bobrisky was seen greeting his fans, who came to give him a welcoming reception.
Going memory lane, Bobrisky’s arrest was a controversial topic amongst fans, entertainment freaks and after Justice Awogboro sentenced the cross-dresser without an option of a fine, stressing that his sentence would serve as a lesson for others abusing the Naira.
While commenting on his release from the correctional centre, the cross-dresser used the opportunity to tell the public that the country’s currency should be respected at all times and warned Nigerians against abusing of the Naira in order not to end up in prison.
He said, “You have to follow the rules and abide by the laws. Don’t spray money, or you will become a landlord in Kirikiri.
“It is not just about killing or any criminal activity that can bring you to prison. Something light as spaying of naira can take you there.”
Bobrisky added, “I’m only focusing on my good energy right now on people who were there for me, like my friends. You see, any other person, I’m not interested. So, I don’t want to talk about them. I’m really grateful to my friends and loved ones.”
