Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala is upbeat about the team’s chances of making it out of their group in the women’s football tournament of the ongoing Paris Olympics Games despite losing their first two matches.
After starting their campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Brazil last Thursday, they fell by the same scoreline against Spain on Sunday, leaving them with a mountain to climb in their last game against Japan.
The Falcons have lost their two matches so far, being the only team in the group without a win, and they are yet to score at the tournament.
Oshoala, 29, is however confident that Nigeria can make it out of the tough group.
She, however, agreed that the team are bottom of their group due to missed scoring chances against Spain and Brazil.
The Falcons will play Japan at the Stade de Beaujoire in Nantes on Wednesday.
