Nigeria Beat Cameroon 2-0 To Qualify For AFCON Quarterfinals

Nigeria on Saturday beat Cameroon 2-0 in the last 16 to reach the quarter-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nation match in Abidjan.

Two goals from The Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman was enough to seal the win for the Super Eagles who showed Cameroon the way out of the tournament.

Cameroon goalkeeper, Andre Onana Lookman was not in goal when Lookman scored nine minutes before the break after Victor Osimhen forced Oumar Gonzalez into a mistake and then teed up Lookman to fire past goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa.

In the 90th minute, Lookman found the back of the net for the second time. His goal prompted huge celebrations amongst fans and the Super Eagles.

Angola is the next litmus test for the Super Eagles in the ongoing tournament.
