Protest has begun at the Gbagada -inward third mainland bridge axis of Lagos state after a LASTMA officer chased a driver who hit two LAWMA officials, leaving them dead.
The death of the two persons have triggered the blocking of roads by the angry protestants and hoodlums who have currently highjacked the protest.
As a result of this development vehicular movement is on standstill as traffic has continued building up within Gbagada axis of Lagos.
According to an eye witness, who narrated the incident said, ‘’In the early hours of 8-9, a Lastma official was seen chasing after a vehicle who happened to enter a service line. In the process of the pursuit, the vehicle hit one of the government cleaners sweeping the road while the LASTMA officials killed another which happens that the two people who were killed were siblings.
‘’This event happened around Charly Boy express Gbagada road. Presently, ambulance was not allowed to carry the bodies because area boys around there said until Sanwo-Olu comes to intervene. Because of this, there’s serious traffic starting from Gbagada back to Oshodi. Right now, we await Sanwo Olu to come attend to the issues.’’
