Election: INEC Says Over 87 Million PVCs Collected

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said over 87,209,007, Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been collected as Nigerians prepare to vote on in the 2023 election which holds Saturday, 25.

According to INEC, 93,469,008 eligible Nigerians registered to collect their PVCs, while more than 87 million PVCs collected represent a 93.3 percent success rate for collected PVCs.

The commission also reported that INEC released this figure on Thursday ahead of the presidential and national assembly elections, which will take place on Saturday.

Interestingly, the number increased after the Commission extended the deadline from January 29 to February 5.

Meanwhile, INEC have distributed election materials to 16 LGs in Kwara State.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Kwara State, Mallam Attahiru Madami, on Thursday took delivery of some sensitive materials for the Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections from the Central Bank of Nigeria, Ilorin branch.
