Nigerian-born Arsenal football Legend, Kanu Nwankwo and other Nigerian celebrities are ready to go on a Charity/Fitness awareness walk tagged: “4 KM Walk With Kanu Nwankwo” on September 29, 2023 in Aba, Abia State.
The ”Kanu Heart Foundation Walk” is a project with the theme: ”Celebrate The Heart”, ”The Elephant Walk” will holds on the yearly World Heart Day in September, with the mission to promote heart -health and raise awareness of the importance of cardiovascular wellness.
In collaboration with the Government of Abia State, Nizamiye Hospital, Nayarana Health, and Rela Institute RIMS Hospital, the initiative has attracted some Nigerian celebrities who have pledged to walk with the former Super Eagles star.
Some of them are: Nollywood actor, Charles Aurum, Chidinma and Chidebere Aneke (Twins), Former Super Eagles strikers, Emmanuel Emenike, and Obinna Nwaneri, C.E.O, Diamonds Leeds Ltd, High Chief Kenneth Ifekudu, TCharles Ozourigbo, (Nwa Aba), Ekuka Eze (Ebuka Hero), Ifeaka Doris, Jane Obi, and others.
The fitness awareness walk is scheduled to start 7pm at Abia Poly, in Abia State.
The Kanu Heart Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation founded by Kanu Nwankwo to help indigent Nigerian children with cardiac diseases obtain life-saving surgeries within and outside Nigeria.
