Nigerian music star, Divine Ekubor well known as Rema on Sunday, September 3, 2022 emerged as the biggest winner, going home with three gongs at the 16th edition of the Headies Awards in Atlanta, United States.
The talented Mavin artiste also expressed his appreciation for the award with an interesting speech which attracted the attention of the audience and the music fans.
He won the awards for African Artiste Of The Year, Album Of The Year, and Digital Artiste Of The Year at the 16th Headies with his international hit single ‘Calm Down.’
Another music star, Asake also earned the highly coveted Next Rated award and still got the Album Of The Year award for his debut album ‘Mr Money With The Vibe,’ while Odumodublvck grabbed the Rookie Of The Year award and Best Rap Single Award.
As for Burna Boy, the Grammy Awards winner also won the award for Best Afrobeats Single, and Song Of The Year with his hit single ‘Last Last.’
He also won the Best R&B Single with ‘For My Hand’ featuring Ed Sheeran.
Black Sherif, Spyro, Seyi Vibez, are the other artistes amongst others who won awards.
