Cesc Fabregas Retires From Football At 36

Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona midfielder, Cesc Fabregas has retired from football at the age of thirty-six.

All through his career, the talented player earned 110 caps for Spain in an international career which saw him win the European Championships twice and the World Cup.

After making his debut at the age of sixteen for Arsenal, Fabregas won 12 major trophies, including the Premier League and LaLiga, across his 20-year career in football.

Interestingly, the Spaniard who spent eight seasons in the north London club, before returning to Catalonia began his career at Barcelona’s La Masia, but made his professional debut for the Gunners at the age of sixteen.

Having won the FA Cup with the Gunners, Fabregas also achieved other feats in Spain, lifting LaLiga, Copa del Rey, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup over a three-year stay.

Fabregas who has also won the FA Cup and League Cup for the Blues, returned to the Premier League with Chelsea and won the title twice, first under Jose Mourinho and then under Antonio Conte.
