Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, well known as Wizkid on Friday emerged as the first African artiste to headline the Glastonbury Festival, which is also known as the United Kingdom’s biggest music festival.
The talented singer maximised the opportunity to perform at the festival’s “Other Side Stage” with a crowd of over 210,000 attendees in Somerset, England.
His hit songs; ‘Essence’, ‘One Dance’, ‘And Ojuelegba’, amongst others, were some of the songs the Grammy award star thrilled the audience with.
Going memory lane, In 2022, the Glastonbury Festival experienced Grammy award-winning Nigerian star, Burna Boy, who fired up the crowd with superb performances and rendition of some of his hit records.
The ”African Giant” crooner hit the stage with top international acts like Billie Eilish, Lily Allen, Olivia Rodrigo, and Lorde.
