Akpala Appointed As Interim Manager At Belgian Club, KV Kortrijk

Former Nigeria international, Joseph Akpala has been appointed as the interim manager of Belgian Pro League football club, KV Kortrijk.

Before his appointment, Akpala previously worked as an assistant coach at the club.

Following Bernd Storck’s departure in April, the 36-year-old will take charge of first team duties as KV Kortrijk plans to appoint a new manager before the start of the new season.

Akpala resumed duties at the club on the first day of pre-season training on Monday.

After being at Club Brugge, Sporting Charleroi and KV Oostende, the former Super Eagles forward is used to the Belgian League.

Akpala retired from football two years ago after a brief spell with Romanian second division club, Dinamo Bucharest.
