Kenya’s Ezra Kering Wins in 2:11:55Secs
Kenya’s Ezra Kering has emerged victorious in the 2026 Lagos City Marathon, completing the 42-kilometer race in an impressive 2 hours, 11 minutes, and 55 seconds.
This win earns him the $50,000 top prize.
Kering, a 40-year-old gold medalist at the 2025 Borobudur Marathon in Indonesia, shaved six seconds off his previous timing.
Meanwhile, Ugandan runners made a strong showing, with Lomoi Samuel finishing second in 2:11:59 and Namutala Lumbasi taking third place in 2:12:25.
In the women’s category, Ethiopian Dinke Meleka dominated with a finish time of 2:37:36, securing her second Lagos City Marathon title.
