SENATE CONFIRMS APPOINTMENT OF JUSTICE OYEWOLE AS SUPREME COURT JUSTICE
The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of Justice Joseph Oyewole as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
The confirmation followed the consideration of a report by the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, chaired by Senator Adeniyi Adegbonmire.
Presenting the report, Senator Adegbonmire urged the Senate to receive and adopt the committee’s findings on the nomination of Justice Oyewole, who currently serves as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.
President Bola Tinubu had last Tuesday forwarded a letter to the Senate, seeking the confirmation of Justice Oyewole’s appointment.
