Super Eagles have secured a financial windfall of $3.1 million (approximately ₦4.4 billion) after qualifying for the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The three-time African champions booked their place in the last four with a convincing 2–0 victory over Algeria in Saturday’s quarter-final encounter.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that each semi-finalist at the tournament will receive a prize money allocation of $2.5 million. In addition to CAF’s financial reward, Nigerian industrialist and Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, has pledged substantial incentives to motivate the team.

Following the quarter-final victory, Rabiu awarded the Super Eagles $600,000 — comprising $500,000 for the win and an additional $50,000 for each of the two goals scored against Algeria.

CAF also announced revised prize money for the latter stages of the tournament. According to the governing body, the tournament runner-up will earn $4 million, while each semi-finalist receives $2.5 million.

In a statement highlighting Rabiu’s continued support noted that the BUA chairman has further pledged $500,000 should Nigeria win their semi-final match, alongside a $50,000 bonus for every goal scored.

If the Super Eagles go on to lift the trophy, Rabiu has committed an additional $1 million, with a further $100,000 for each goal scored in the final.

The Super Eagles will now face tournament hosts Morocco in the semi-final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in Rabat.
