EYO FESTIVAL 2025: Lagos State Government Announces Traffic Diversions
The Lagos State Government has announced temporary traffic diversions on the Third Mainland Bridge and other areas for the 2025 Eyo Festival holding on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
Affected routes include:
– *Third Mainland Bridge Axes*:
– Third Mainland Bridge exit to Adeniji Adele Road
– Adeniji Adele ramps (inward and outward)
– Oyebanji Adeniji Adele inwards Third Mainland (Church bus stop)
– *Sura Junction*:
– Descending Simpson Bridge to Sura from Osborne
– Outward Sura inward Osborne by Simpson Bridge
– Outward Sura inward Obalende bridge
– Third Mainland exit to Sura
– *Obalende Axes*:
– Descending P&T from Obalende Bridge
– Descending Obalende bridge inward Kam Salem
– *Idumota Axes*:
– Idumota inward Iddo after pedestrian bridge
– Ascending Carter Bridge by Iddo
– Inward Ejalonibu from 3rd Mainland end (Odo Alagbafo)
– Exit of Police Post into Odo Alagbafo Bridge
Alternative routes to access Lagos Island include:
– Third Mainland Bridge → Dolphin Road → Osborne Road → Alfred Rewane Road → Falomo Bridge → Akin Adesola or Lekki-Epe Expressway
– Eko Bridge → Apongbon → CMS Bridge → Bonny Camp → Ozumba Mbadiwe Road → Law School → Lekki-Epe Expressway
To exit Lagos Island, try:
– Lekki-Epe Expressway → Victoria Island → Falomo Bridge → Alfred Rewane Road → Osborne Road → Dolphin Road → Third Mainland Bridge
– Lekki-Epe Expressway → Law School → Ozumba Mbadiwe Road → Bonny Camp → CMS Bridge → Apongbon → Eko Bridge
