Nigerian Air Force Alpha Jet Crashes in Niger State, Both Pilots Eject Safely
A Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Alpha Jet has crashed near Karabonde community in Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.
The incident was first reported on Saturday evening by Lapai TV, a Niger-based digital television network, which posted a 57-second video of the wreckage alongside a message stating:
“Two Nigerian Air Force Pilots Reportedly Survive Alpha Jet Crash Close to Karabonde, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State.”
According to an eyewitness, both pilots managed to eject from the aircraft and parachuted to safety before it went down.
As of the time of this report, the Nigerian Air Force has not released an official statement on the crash. Details regarding the cause of the incident and the condition of the pilots are still being awaited.
