TINUBU DEMANDS STRONGER RESULTS FROM SECURITY CHIEFS IN FIGHT AGAINST INSECURITY
ABUJA, NIGERIA — President Bola Tinubu held a crucial closed-door meeting with the nation’s Service Chiefs and heads of intelligence agencies on Tuesday, demanding greater efficiency in strategies and more tangible results in the ongoing fight against insecurity across Nigeria.
The high-level session, which took place at the State House, lasted for more than an hour.
Following the meeting, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede, addressed the press, confirming that the engagement with the President was “quite engaging.” General Oluyede disclosed that President Tinubu issued new directions and directives specifically intended to record better outcomes in combating all forms of insecurity plaguing the country.
The CDS assured Nigerians that security agencies are actively improving coordination across their operations. He promised that the enhanced efforts are aimed at ensuring citizens can celebrate the upcoming yuletide season across the country in peace and safety.
