Gunmen attack Niger catholic school, abduct Students, staff
Several students and teachers have been abducted by Gunmen who attacked St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger state early on Friday morning
Report says Security agencies, including the police and military, are combing the forests to rescue the abducted students and staff.
The exact number of abductees is still unknown
The Niger state governor, Umar Bago, confirms the incident and assures that efforts are underway to secure the release of the victims
This comes just days after 25 schoolgirls were kidnapped from a boarding school in Kebbi State, highlighting the rising insecurity in schools across northern Nigeria.
