ERUKU CHURCH ATTACK: GOV. ABDULRAZAQ CALLS FOR URGENT SECURITY REINFORCEMENT

GOVERNOR ABDULRAZAQ CALLS FOR URGENT SECURITY REINFORCEMENT IN EKITI LGA AFTER FRESH ATTACKS IN ERUKU

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, has demanded the immediate deployment of additional security operatives to the Ekiti Local Government Area, particularly the Eruku axis, following a fresh wave of attacks on the community on Tuesday.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Governor urged security agencies to swiftly reinforce the existing personnel in the troubled area.

“The Governor has sought the immediate deployment of more security operatives to bolster the existing security architecture in the area. He requested that this new measure be activated without delay,” the statement read.

Condemning the “unconscionable attack” in the strongest terms, Governor AbdulRazaq extended his heartfelt sympathy to the people of Eruku and surrounding communities, especially the families and members of the Christ Apostolic Church who were directly affected by the assault.

The Governor reassured residents that the state government is working closely with security agencies to restore calm and prevent further attacks in the area.
