ACTOR BABA IJESHA RELEASED FROM PRISON AFTER APPEAL COURT CLEARANCE
Nigerian actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has been released from prison after spending more than three years in custody for alleged sexual assault.
The actor regained his freedom on Friday, November 14, 2025, following a decision of the Appeal Court, which reportedly cleared him of the charges for which he was convicted.
Confirming the development, fellow actor Yomi Fabiyi announced the release in a post on Instagram, stating that Baba Ijesha had been discharged of all allegations involving a minor.
“You are now officially free and out. Baba Ijesha is not just back but better,” Fabiyi wrote.
“I am also happy you were cleared by the Appeal Court of ever having sex or defiling any child or minor. The 7-year-old story is a charade. We live in a terrible world where sentiments and wickedness rise above the rule of law and truth.”
As of the time of filing this report, details of the Appeal Court judgment have not been made public, and judicial authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the ruling.
