EFCC Declares Former Bayelsa Governor, Sylva Wanted Over Alleged Fraud
The economic and financial crimes commission, EFCC, has declared former minister of state for petroleum resources, Timipre Sylva, wanted.
According to the agency, Sylva is being sought in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy and dishonest conversion of over fourteen point eight million dollars.
The EFCC said the money was part of funds from the Nigerian content development and monitoring board meant for the construction of a private refinery.
The notice, issued by the EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, followed a warrant from the Lagos state high court dated November six, twenty twenty-five.
The commission urged anyone with information on Sylva’s whereabouts to contact its offices or the nearest police station.
