FOOTBALL: Ronaldo Hints at Imminent Retirement

Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that his long and illustrious football career may soon come to an end, admitting that the prospect of retirement will be an emotional one.

The 40-year-old forward, who has netted an astonishing 952 career goals, remains one of the most successful and decorated players in football history.

Speaking in a recent interview, Ronaldo said he is preparing mentally for life after football, noting that he intends to focus more on his family and business ventures.

“I know the time will come soon. It will be emotional, but I’m ready for it. I’ve given everything to football, and now I want to enjoy time with my family and the projects I’ve built off the pitch,” he said.

Ronaldo, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has enjoyed a career spanning over two decades with clubs including Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus, as well as five Ballon d’Or titles and a European Championship with Portugal.
