The Lagos State Government on Thursday began the demolition of illegal and unsafe structures at the Trade Fair Complex in Ojo as part of efforts to enforce physical planning regulations and restore order.
Senior Special Assistant on New Media to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Jubril Gawat, disclosed the exercise in a post on X, noting that the operation targeted unapproved developments, defective buildings, and structures encroaching on road setbacks and drainages.
According to Gawat, the state will no longer tolerate unauthorized constructions that obstruct critical infrastructure and endanger public safety.
