FOOTBALL: Osimhen Still Struggling With Injury — Galatasaray Boss Buruk
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk has confirmed that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is still battling to regain full fitness following an injury sustained on international duty two weeks ago.
Osimhen, 27, missed the Turkish giants’ 2–0 win over Eyupspor last weekend and has also been ruled out of their UEFA Champions League clash against Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
Speaking to reporters, Buruk disclosed that the Super Eagles forward is not yet ready for action.
“Osimhen is still recovering and hasn’t reached the required level of fitness to feature for us,” Buruk said.
The striker’s absence is seen as a blow for Galatasaray, who are banking on his firepower in their domestic and European campaigns.
