NNPP Expels Rep Member Abdulmumin Jibrin Over Anti-Party Conduct

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State has expelled Abdulmumin Jibrin, the lawmaker representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency, over alleged anti-party activities.

Announcing the decision, the NNPP State Chairman, Hashim Sulaiman Dungurawa, said Jibrin’s expulsion followed his “persistent sabotage and public defiance” of the party’s directives.

> “His ongoing media attacks on the party and its leadership constitute a clear betrayal of the platform that elected him,” Dungurawa stated.

Jibrin had earlier signaled his intention to leave the NNPP, a move that fueled speculations about his strained relationship with the party.

The development underscores the ongoing internal tensions within the NNPP, which has faced waves of defections and leadership disputes since the 2023 general elections.
