Nigerian Army Announces Major Redeployment of Senior Officers

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, has approved a major posting and redeployment of senior officers to strategic positions across the Nigerian Army.

The reshuffle affects principal staff officers at the Army Headquarters, General Officers Commanding (GOCs), corps commanders, training institution heads, and brigade commanders.

Key appointments include:

Major General A.A. Adeyinka as Chief of Logistics

Major General A.A. Adekeye as Chief of Personnel Management

Major General A.S.M. Wase as General Officer Commanding (GOC) One Division

The Army said the redeployment is aimed at strengthening ongoing operations against insurgency, terrorism, and other security challenges.

Lieutenant General Oluyede urged the newly appointed officers to redouble their efforts while reassuring troops of his administration’s commitment to their welfare.
