Sanwo-Olu opens new roads to boost tourism in Badagry

In what is targeted at boosting tourism and commerce in the ancient town of Badagry and Lagos in general, the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, opened a network of reconstructed roads in Badagry.

The roads include the reconstructed Aradagun-Mosafejo-Ilado-Imeke, Hospital and Samuel Ekundayo Roads, expected to open up the remote areas and stimulate the tourism sector.

At the commissioning, Sanwo-Olu said the seven networks of roads would ensure the ease of movement and transportation, as well as improve the living standard of the people.

He noted that as a key aspect of inclusive governance, his administration has “continued to provide infrastructure that supports businesses, creates employment, and improves the living conditions of our people.”

Sanwo-Olu further noted that to demonstrate and deepen the administration’s commitment to infrastructure development across Lagos, his government has “strategically focused on harnessing the immense tourism and economic growth potential that Badagry uniquely offers.
