LASU overtakes UNILORIN as varsity of first choice…
The Lagos State University has officially overtaken the University of Ilorin as the most preferred institution for admission, according to data from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, which was released during the ongoing policy meeting in Abuja on Tuesday.
For years, the University of Ilorin remained the institution with the highest number of applicants.
The University of Lagos stood in second position with a total of 58,645 applicants, while the University of Ilorin was placed in third position with 56,758 applicants.
Over the years, UTME candidates have been revealed to prefer UNILORIN because, for many years, the institution has not had any form of strike, unlike many other public tertiary institutions in the country.
