Lagos, July 3, 2025 – Peter “Dodomayana” Rufai, legendary goalkeeper of Nigeria’s Super Eagles, has passed away following a prolonged illness. He was 61.

He starred in the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s 1994 AFCON victory .
