FIBA AFRICA ZONE 3 ACADEMIES TOURNAMENT:- OVER 30 TEAMS CONFIRMED FOR INAUGURAL EDITION IN LAGOS
The stage is set for the maiden edition of the FIBA Africa Zone 3 Academies Tournament 2025, with more than 30 basketball academies registered to compete in what promises to be a landmark youth basketball event in Africa.
Scheduled to tip off at the Dolphins Basketball court with some matches spilling over to the Warriors Basketball Court both located in Lagos, the tournament which is still scheduled for top off on Saturday, 5th July 2025, has attracted wide participation across the Zone.
A total of 30 teams have confirmed their participation — 17 in Boys’ and 13 in the Girls’ Category, respectively.
According to Simon Evbounwa, Tournament Director and Chairman, Technical Committee, preparation is being made for a seamless event.
Fixtures will be officially drawn during a technical meeting scheduled for July 4, 2025, upon the arrival of participating teams at Dolphins Basketball Court, Onikpetesi, Lagos.
