LAGOS BUILDING COLLAPSE UPDATE: One dies, twelve others rescued from rubbles
One person has been confirmed dead as emergency responders have successfully rescued twelve victims of the Ojodu building collapse
Silverbird Correspondent, Sulaymon Abdulkareem, reports that efforts are ongoing to reach other victims still trapped under the rubbles as The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Damilola Oke-Osanyitolu, appeals to residents of the area to remain calm and allow officials of the agency to carry out their duties
Some residents blame the unfortunate incident on the construction of an additional floor on the building by a contractor.
