The Court of Appeal sitting in Akure has upheld the appeal filed by the elected local government officials in Osun under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress.
The Court of Appeal unanimously reinstated all the elected Local Government officials who were previously sacked by Ademola Adeleke, and has ordered their immediate resumption of office.
Recall that Governor Adeleke on assumption of office in November, 2022 had directed career heads of local government areas and Area Councils Development Areas in the state to take control and charge of their councils from the sacked council chairmen and councillors.
