The body of an unidentified expatriate who drowned in the Alesa River, located in the Eleme Local Government Area, has been recovered.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the expatriate jumped into the river while attempting to escape from kidnappers on Monday.
Officers from the Rivers State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju, along with other safety agencies, conducted the operation that resulted in the recovery of the body.
