Terrorism Charges: Group Writes S’East Govs, Seeks Nnamdi Kanu’s Release

A group under the aegis of the Concerned Igbo Ministers Commission (CIMC) has written an open letter to the South East Governors, urging them to prevail on President Bola Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader.

In the open letter signed by Rev. Tony Uzo Anthony, President General/International Coordinator and ApostleTony Osuji, Secretary General CIMC expressed displeasure that the president and the South East Governors have not done enough to ensure Kanu’s release.

They said it was unfortunate that no South East governor reminded the President about Kanu’s release during his tour of the region.

The group expressed confidence that insecurity in the southeast will reduce drastically if Kanu is released from detention.

The group equally alleged that the continued nonchalance of the South Eastern governors to the release of Kanu was the true reason for insecurity in the South East.
