One person has been confirmed dead at Nyankpala in the Tolon constituency of the Northern Region.
According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation occurred between Alhaji Rashid Salifu, the NPP Northern Regional Organizer, and Dr. Osman Tahiru Damba, the NDC Parliamentary Candidate.
The altercation began when the NDC candidate accused the NPP organizer of distributing money to voters, sparking a heated argument.
The situation escalated into violence, resulting in gunfire that tragically claimed one life.
Abubakari Fuseini Oluu, the NDC Tolon Constituency Communications Officer, confirmed that one NDC supporter was killed in the incident, while another remains critically injured.
