*President MPU, Professor Peter Olawuni, risks jail terms for violating Court order*
The High Court, Ile-Ife, Osun State is set to commit the President of Modakeke Progressive Union to prison following an application for committal filed by Ife Progressive Forum against him, for violating Court order restraining him from erecting sign post at ONDO road, Urban Day area.
The Ife Progressive Forum filed a motion in court to commit Professor Olawuni, President of the Modakeke Progressive Union to prison for contempt of court. This development follows the illegal mounting of a sign post at Urban Day Area at Mayfair Round About aimed at dividing Ile-Ife.
The court’s decision is a testament to the commitment to upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of all citizens. The Ife Progressive Forum remains resolute in its pursuit of justice and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the integrity of Ile-Ife is maintained.

The matter, before Honourable Justice Adeniji of High Court 3 sitting at lle-lfe, Osun State has been adjourned to 30th January, 2024
The Applicant has filed form 48 and 49 to commit the 3rd Applicant to Prison for disobedience to court order. And also the Applicant has further filed an application for the court to be moved and commit Professor Olawunmi into prison .
The 3rd Respondent has not filed any defense before the court to show why the court should not send him into prison as at today.
