Holy Child College Old Girls Association Donate To Alma Mater
The Holy Child College Old Girls Association 1979 – 1984 set recently had their 40th Anniversary, in which it used the occasion to make some donations to the school .
Tagged Back to School – Donation, the president of the association, Mrs. Helen Irumudomon said that a
75″ Smart Screen was donated to the school hall.
She also said that bags of rice for were given to members of staff
And a donation of N500,000 for the Society of the Holy Child Jesus (SHCJ).
The event, which was marked by a lot of funfair brought together Old schoolmates and renewed the scholastic value the institution is made of.
It produces series of photo events, as one of the highlights where the old girls fraternised with themselves, the staff and the students.
According to Irumudomon, 40 years is not a joke in the life of a school, adding, ” it becomes necessary for us to regroup at this period to give back to an institution that laid the foundation of our academic sojourn and life successes.”
“I don’t think there is anyone who has passed through this school that has ever regretted it. We are happy that the members of 1979-1984 set are not taken aback, we will continue to render the little we have to the goose that laid our golden eggs,” she said.
The president, who was visibly elated said that nothing could be too big as gift for the old school as she encouraged other sets that had passed through the school not to forget their Alma mater.
“We call on our juniors and seniors who have passed through here to also make donations so that the school and the products from there will continue to be good examples”, she said.
